Trying to improve

Hi people, as you know I like to make pictures.

Most of them are randomly and I like to picture strange people, but one of my problems is editting them.

I use Photoshop CS3, but I really, reálly suck at it.

Like this picture; it looks like mold, but the original was boring, and black and white wouldn't make it more interesting.

And this one, I actually like this picture because of the reflection in the window. Unfortunately the picture isn't straight.. -just like the picture above, that's what I see now-

Another problem of mine; I always make the picture too small. The head of the father has no space, and you can't fully see the stool.

Anyway, I hope I'll get better with it, if my sister would like to help me..
